Mr. and Mrs. Robert Buccieri of Fairport, NY, formerly of Clifton Park and Schenectady, are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole to Jon Aldridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Aldridge of Rochester.
Jon warmly proposed to Nicole on August 29, 2007 upon Nicole’s return from a summer semester in Spain. Nicole earned her master’s of science degree in speech-language pathology from Ithaca College.
Her fiance earned a degree in wellness management from SUNY Oswego.
They plan to wed on October 9, 2010 in Rochester.
Robert and Debra Martin of Cobleskill announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Mae Martin to Keith James Powers, son of James and Denise Powers of Alplaus. Courtney is the granddaughter of Richard and Doris Thatcher of Ft. Myers, FL and the late Charles S. Bass of Arlington, TX and the late Dexter and Helen Martin of Schenectady. Keith is the grandson of the late Reno and Leona Roussel, and the late James Powers Sr. and the late Tom and Joan Moody, all of New Hampshire.
The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School, Rosemont College (2000), where she received a bachelor’s degree in history and Russell Sage College (2005), where she received her BS degree in criminal justice. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in organizational management at Sage Graduate School. She is administrative assistant in the office of institutional advancement at the Sage Colleges, Troy.
Her fiance is a graduate of Niskayuna High School (2000), RPI (2005) with dual BS degrees in mechanical engineering and computer science. He is a senior computer applications programmer with the NYS Unified Court System, Division of Technology, Troy.
An October 2010 wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Callahan Jr. of Albany proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Callahan, to Nick Mastroianni, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicola Mastroianni of Schenectady.
The future bride is a graduate of the State University at Albany, where she earned a master’s degree in social work. She works for Albany County investigating child abuse.
Her fiance is a graduate of Siena College and earned a degree in accounting. He is a CPA and works at General Electric as a senior financial analyst.
A December 18, 2010 wedding date has been set.
Laurel Elena Loeffler and Daniel Lewis Dyer were married on November 28, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Church in Schenectady, NY. Father Richard Shaw, a longtime friend of the groom’s family, was celebrant for the nuptial mass and wedding ceremony. The Musicians of Ma’alwyck, Deborah Savoy, Soloist, and Alex Allendorph, Bagpiper, provided music.
The bride is the daughter of George and Frances Loeffler of Niskayuna, NY. The groom is the son of Edward and Carol Dyer of Brunswick, NY.
The bride was attended by her sisters Lisa Graziano as the matron of honor and Kathryn Loeffler as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kara Dyer, sister of the groom, Cara Messina, cousin of the bride, Ellen Chase, Rupa Bihani Shah and Helena Scheffel.
Best man was Jeffrey Dyer, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Donatelli, Michael Castle, cousin of the groom, Shawn Canfield, Bryan Gundrum, Douglas Parker and Stephen Bartolucci. Ring bearers were their nephews Alexander and Andrew Graziano and Morgan and Aiden Dyer.
Laurel, a graduate of Niskayuna HS, received a doctor of pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and is a pharmacy manager at Target.
Daniel, a graduate of LaSalle Institute, received a bachelor of architecture and a master of science in lighting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is employed as a NY State Trooper.
The reception was held at the Glen Sanders Mansion. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Hawaii.
Peggy Elizabeth Foster and Terence Patrick Clare were married June 26, 2010 at Yaddo Gardens in Saratoga, NY. Pastor Peter Mason officiated. A reception followed at the American Legion in Ballston Spa.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Rosemary Foster of Burlington, IA. The groom is the son of the late Kevin and Aileen Clare, formerly of Clifton Park.
Maid of honor was Carly Hogaboom, daughter of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jenny Civitello. Flowergirl was Sarah Siple.
Best man was William Clare, brother of the groom. Usher was Brenden Clare, also, a brother of the groom. Ringbearer was Jack Siple.
Peggy is employed by Target. Terence is employed by RPC of Saratoga County.
Kristine Beth Kristel, daughter of Robert and Janet Kristel of Niskyauna, NY and Scott Vincent Papp, son of Barbara Papp and the late Andrew Papp of Bronx, NY were married on July 17, 2009 at The Sagamore in Bolton Landing, NY.
Best woman was Michelle Kristel, sister of the bride and best man was David Lauterbach. Flower girls were Lauren Rein, Kaitlyn Taylor and Allyson Taylor, nieces of the groom. Ring bearers were Nicholas Kristel and Lucas Kristel, nephews of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Linton High School, Schenectady, NY and received her bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY. She is an account executive at Miller Advertising in New York City.
The groom is a graduate of Lehman High School, Bronx, NY and received his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany, and his juris doctor degree from Pace University School of Law. He is an associate at Lowey Dannenberg Cohen & Hart, P.C. in White Plains, NY, where he practices securities and commercial litigation.
The couple reside in Manhattan.
Don and Kay (Stryker) Ackerman of Schenectady recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party attended by family and friends at the couple’s lake house on Loon Lake, Chestertown, NY. The party was given by their children. They were married June 25, 1960 in Jefferson, NY.
Kay is a is an administrator for Schenectady County Embraces Diversity.
Her husband served two years in the U.S. Army and graduated from SUNY at Oneonta. He is a retired teacher from the Niskayuna School District. He is currently Deputy Clerk for the Schenectady County Legislature.
Their children are Steven (Michelle) of Glenville and Jane of Manhattan. They have two grandsons, Everette and Ian Ackerman, both of Glenville.
Don was an elected member of the Schenectady County Legislature for 16 years. Kay was first woman city clerk in Schenectady (appt. 1976) and director of the Department of Development (1988-1998), City of Schenectady.
Robert and Eileen (Malis) Dumas of Scotia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party and entertainment at Terrace Ballroom at Water’s Edge. The party was given by their children and grandchildren.
They were married April 23, 1960 at the Church of St. Adalbert, Schenectady. The couple are both graduates of Mont Pleasant High School. Bob served four years in the U.S. Navy.
Their children are Bobbi Redmond and Jay Wagner of Schenectady, Russ Dumas of Cranesville and Mike and Aimee Dumas and grandson Joey of Cohoes; Rick and Melissa Dumas, grandchildren Tyler Marie, Ricky and Cathy, all of Rotterdam and Debbie and Gene Duda, grandchildren Ashley and Ryan, all of Latham.
Al and Grace Lussier, pre viously of Scotia, NY, now living in Schuyler Ridge, Clifton Park, recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. They were married July 27, 1941. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
