Engagement: Clayman and Matthews

Art and Ruth Clayman of
Schenectady announce the
engagement of their daughter
Laura Rachael Clayman
to Kyle James Matthews, son
of Robyn Hescock and James
Matthews of Cheshire, CT.
Laura is the granddaughter of
Peter and Gertrude Fischer
of Schenectady. Kyle is the
grandson of Bruce and Janet
Hescock of Bethany, CT, and
Marge Matthews of Centennial,
The future bride is a graduate
of Schenectady High School
and Hobart and William Smith
Colleges, where she received a
B.A. in English. She is currently
a graduate student at the University
of Rhode Island pursuing
an M.A. in teaching.
Her fi ancé is a graduate of
Cheshire High School and
the Indiana University School
of Music, where he received
a B.A. in fl ute performance
and Spanish. He received an
M.A. in Hispanic Studies from
Brown University, where he
is currently a Ph.D. candidate.
They live in Providence, RI.
Laura and Kyle got engaged
on January 1, 2009 in Mexico. A
June 6, 2010 wedding is planned
in Schenectady.

Engagement: Carona and Lane

Jack and Sandra Carona of
Slingerlands are proud to announce
the engagement of their
daughter, Jacqueline Carona, to
Richard Lane, son of Richard
and Elaine Lane of Galway.
The bride-to-be is a 2001
graduate of Bethlehem Central
High School and received her
bachelor’s of science degree
in marketing and management
from Siena College in 2005. She
is currently employed at a local
credit union.
The groom-to-be is a 2000
graduate of Galway High
School and received his bachelor’s
degree in political science/
pre-law from Siena College
in 2005. He is currently
employed as the vice president
of investments for Madison
Wealth Managers.
The couple will marry in
May 2011.
