John and Sherry Ciupek of
Rotterdam are very pleased
to announce the engagement
of their daughter, Allison Michelle,
to Christopher Joseph
Cwiertniewski, son of Joseph
and Danuta Cwiertniewski of
Schenectady.
Allison is a 2005 graduate of
Mohonasen HS and has earned
her associates degree from
Schenectady County Community
College. She is currently
a pre-school teacher at Maple
Leaf Child Care, Inc. and loves
working with children.
Her fi ance, a 2005 graduate
from Schenectady High School,
is presently attending Hudson
Valley Community College
pursuing a degree in cardiology.
He is currently working at
Ellis Hospital.
A June 4, 2011 wedding is being
planned.


NYLAND-WOOD
Engagement: Nyland and Wood

Margaret Nyland and Andrew
Wood, both of Albany
have announced their engagement.
Margaret is the daughter
of Barbara Nyland and the late
John Nyland of Schenectady.
Andrew is the son of Francis
and Kathleen Wood of Walton,
NY. The future bride is a graduate
of Schenectady High
School (2000), Cornell University
(2004) and Albany Law
School (2007). She is an attorney
at the New York State
Court of Appeals.
Her fi ance is a graduate of
Walton Central School (1997),
Rochester Institute of Technology
(2001) and Albany Law
School (2005). He is assistant
corporation counsel for the
City of Albany.
An October 2010 wedding is
planned.

Wedding: DeLorenzo and Rossein

Katherine V. DeLorenzo and
Craig Rossein were married
September 5, 2009 at Camp
Lakota, Catskills, NY. Minister
James Eaton offi ciated. A reception
followed, with music
provided by Matthew Ferrucci,
brother of the bride, and his
son, Matthew LaBombard, the
bride’s nephew.
The bride is the daughter of
David and Rita DeLorenzo of
Rotterdam. The groom is the
son of Dr. Keith and Roslyn
Rossein of Malverne, NY.
Matrons of honor were Sarah
Hazel and Emily DeLorenzo-
Rice. Bridesmaids were Stefani
Appel, Melanie Marion, Sarah
Johnson, Tracy Anderson, Melissa
N. Pomeroy and Lisa Bacanskas.
Flower girl wrangler
was Jessie Hazel. Flowergirls
were Lexi Appel, Coco Hazel,
Gwen Hazel and Eva Rice.
Best man was Joshua Chefi tz.
Ushers were Jon Rice, Rob Appel,
Gerrit Gillis, Lawrence
Chow, Roy Kim, Johnny Lee
and Brendan Bligh. Ringbearers
were Jack Appel and Eli
Rice.
The bride is a graduate of
Schenectady High School, Boston
University and Smith College.
She is a social worker at
Henry St. Settlement House in
Manhattan and is also a social
work field instructor at NY
University, NY, NY.
Her husband is a graduate
of Malverne High School and
Boston University. He is director
of sales at Automated Merchant
Services in East Rockaway,
NY.
The couple took a honeymoon
trip to Thailand. They
reside in Brooklyn.
