Engagement: Szymczak and Parker

Robert and Elizabeth Szymczak of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter Brittany K. Szymczak to, David Parker, son of Burt and Mary Ann Parker of Scotia. Brittany is the granddaughter of Stanley and Ann Szymczak. David is the grandson John Dewey and Carrie Parker.
The future bride is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and received her bachelor’s degree in special ED/childhood ED from the College of Saint Rose. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in professional special Ed. She is a special education teacher.
Her fiance is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, received his associate degree in business administration from SCCC and completed the paramedic program at HVCC. He is employed by the City of Schenectady Fire Dept.
An August 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Giugliano and Cascio

Cindi Ann Giugliano and Michael Charles Cascio have announced their engagement.
Cindi is the daughter of Salvatore and Gilfroia Giugliano of Lynnfield, MA. Michael is the son of Ms. Carol Cascio of Niskayuna and Dr. Thomas B. Cascio of Tallahassee, FL.
The future bride is a graduate of Lynnfield High School, Wellesley College and Harvard University. She is a self-employed registered architect.
Her fiance is a graduate of Niskayuna High School, Northeastern University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is employed by BAE Systems.
A July 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Farry and Buzzell

Leigh Anne Farry and Ryan Todd Buzzell have announced their engagement. Leigh Anne is the daughter of William and Jean Farry of Delanson. Ryan is the son of Todd and Suzanne Buzzell of Kentwood, MI.
The future bride is a graduate of Duanesburg High School, Fulton Montgomery Community College and SUNY Buffalo, where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She is an adult nurse practitioner at Albany Medical Center.
Her fiance is a graduate of Novi High School and Michigan State University. He is logistics manager at Tomra North America.
A May 15, 2010 wedding is being planned.

Allison Mary Carroll and Brian Jeffrey Tyburski were married September 27, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral, Burlington, VT. Father James Zuccaro officiated. A reception followed at The Pond’s in Bolton Valley, VT.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Donna Carroll of So. Burlington, VT. The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Jean Tyburski of Scotia.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Cosgrove, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Hoh-
man, Martha Bishop, Nicole Zoschak and Harmony Goldstein. Flowergirl was Elaina Hohman.
Best man was Michael Tyburski, brother of the groom. Ushers were Steve Kaelin, Sean McNally, Ian Frenette and Wayne George. Ringbearer was Jacob Tremblay.
Allison is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University, NH. Brian is a graduate of Elmira College. He is an AVP Application Specialist II with Bank America in Glen Rock, NJ.
The couple took a wedding trip to Aruba. They reside in Saddle Brook, NJ.

George and Norma Bright 50th Anniversary
Anniversary: Bright

George and Norma (Tunke) Bright of Rotterdam recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse.
The couple were married on May 2, 1959 at Saint John the Baptist Church in Schenectady and were both employed by General Electric Co. in the LSTG Dept.
A dinner party was given by their children, Sharon Haile, Gary (Gail) Bright , Brian (Corrina) Bright and Carol Bright (Michael Gogan). They have two granddaughters, Newe and Kaysha Haile.
