Cortnee Cornelius and Ryan R. St. John have announced their engagement. Cortnee is the daughter of Doug and Sue Cornelius of Deansboro, NY and Terri Cornelius and Rick Barrett of Oriskany Falls, NY. She is the granddaughter of John and Genevive Cornelius of North Port, FL and Patricia Lamb and the late Charles Lamb of West Edmonston, NY. Ryan is son of Bob and Terry St. John of Rotterdam. He is the grandson of the late Paul and Atilia St. John of Schenectady and the late Robert and Pearl Alpy of Latham.
The future bride is a graduate of Waterville High School and received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta. She received her master’s degree in literacy from Touro University. She is an elementary school teacher in the Shenendehowa Central School District.
Her fiance is a graduate of Schalmont High School and received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz. He received his master’s degree in counseling and guidance from the College of Saint Rose. He is a high school guidance counselor at Bethlehem High School.
A July 2009 wedding is planned.
Craig and Mary Woodrow of Princetown anounce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Christine Woodrow to Matthew Robert Martin, son of Tony Martin of Rotterdam and Linda Martin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
The future bride is a graduate of Schalmont High School and the University at Albany. She is employed by the NYS Department of Labor.
Her fiance is a graduate of Schalmont High School and RIT. He is pursuing his master’s degree at Union College.
A September 2009 wedding is planned.
Robert and Kathleen Pennie recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a large celebration with family and friends at the Cambridge Manor Club House. The party was given by their children and grandchildren.
The couple were married at St. Luke’s Church, Schenectady on April 23, 1949.
The former Kathleen McGuire graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. She worked at General Electric, Sears and the Boston Store. She enjoys watching the NY Mets, traveling and visits from her grandchildren.
Her husband is a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Albany Business College. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre in WWII. He retired in 1996 from the IRS. He enjoys golf, fishing and baseball.
Their children are Elaine Pennie McDuffee (Frank) of Scotia, William and Donna Pennie of Scotia, Robert Pennie (Becky) of Guilderland and James and Barbara Pennie of Ballston Lake.
Their grandchildren are William Pennie (Mary), Shannon and Mark Premo, Megan Pennie, Michael Pennie (Maria), Kaylie and Jake Pennie, Kelli Pennie and Sarah Lindell and two great-grandchildren, Liam Pennie and Hailey Premo.
