Engagement: Schaeffer and Ash

Charles and Kathy Schaeffer of Glenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Marie Schaeffer to Edward Andrew Ash, son of Clayton and Jacqueline Ash of Guilderland.
The future bride is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and Hofstra University with a BBA degree in marketing. She is employed by Spirit Innovations, Inc.
Her fiance is a graduate of Guilderland High School. He also graduated from Northeastern University and SUNY Schenectady with a degree in emergency management and fire protection technology. He is employed by Western Turnpike Rescue Squad. The couple are co-owners of Pirate All-Star Cheerleading.
A June 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Shank and Robibero

Valerie Shank and Anthony Robibero have announced their engagement. Valerie is the daughter of Anna and Tom Shank of Scotia. Anthony is the son of Nadine and Ed Drago of Latham.
The future bride is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from R.P.I. She is employed by KAPL.
Her fiance is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and received his bachelor’s degree and his MBA from the University at Albany. He is employed by Hewitt Consulting.
An August 2009 wedding is planned.

Frank and Stella Wtodarczak 75th Anniversary
Anniversary: Wtodarczak

Frank and Stella Wtodarczak of Schenectady recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary with a dinner party at Canali’s Restaurant. An open house will also be held at their home in May to celebrate, given by their children.
The couple were married April 22, 1934 at St. Adalberts Church, Schenectady.
The former Stella Warzala attended St. Adalbert’s School. She retired from General Electric. She is devoted to her husband and family, enjoys cooking and past winters spent in Florida and shopping.
Her husband attended Nott Terrace School and was with the 35th Seabees in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoys gardening, spending past winters in Florida, keeping up his house and working with his tools.
The couple have three children, Audrey Fretto of Latham, Frank (Olga) Wtodarczak of Rotterdam and Donald (Christine) Wtodarczak of Rotterdam. They have eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
