Engagement: Attanasio and Potts

Ron and Debbie Attanasio of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Lynne Attanasio, to Eric Edmund Potts, son of Harold and Jeanne Potts of Cohoes.
The future bride is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and SUNY Cobleskill. She is a teller at Bank of America-Rotterdam office.
Her fiance is a graduate of Cohoes High School, Hudson Valley Community College and SUNY Oswego. He is currently employed at Value Options, Latham.
The couple are planning an April 2009 wedding.

Engagement: LeVine and Sowden

Sally LeVine of Schenectady announces the engagement of her daughter, Erin LeVine, to Walter Sowden, son of Gaiola Sowden of Rapid City, SD. Erin is the daughter of the late Kenneth LeVine. Walter is the son of the late William Sowden.
The future bride received her master’s from Columbia University. She is a human resource consultant.
Her fiance received his master’s from Columbia University. He is a major in the U.S. Army. He has two children, Georgia (8) and William (10).
A June 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Johnson and Weakley

Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnson of Massena, NY, announce the engagement of their daughter, Krista Johnson, to Jonathan Weakley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Weakley of Charlton, NY. A July 11, 2009 wedding is planned.
Miss Johnson graduated from Massena High School and holds a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Plattsburgh State University. She is also a graduate of the University of Albany with a master of science degree in literacy education. She is employed in the Saranac Lake Central School District.
Mr. Weakley graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and has an associate’s degree in urban tree management from Paul Smith’s College. In May, he will graduate from Paul Smith’s College with a bachelor of science degree in natural resource management and policy. He is a staff sergeant with the New York State National Guard in the 2/108 Infantry and is currently employed by North Country Electrical Services.
The couple resides in Saranac Lake, NY.

Engagement: Havlicek and Moen

Joel and Carol Havlicek of Burnt Hills announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Marie Havlicek, to David Joseph Moen, son of Elsie Moen of Saratoga Springs and Joseph and Paula Moen Jr. of Woodbury, NJ.
The future bride is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is currently pursuing her master’s in business administration from Northeastern University. She is digital sales manager with Hearst Communications in Albany.
Her fiance is a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, Adirondack Community College and Siena College. He is employed by Allerdice Building Supply in Saratoga Springs.
The couple are planning a May 2009 wedding.

Shelley Schlief and Aaron Davies Hyland were married September 28, 2008 at Castle Rock Beach, Carmel, CA. Rev. Leslie McIntosh officiated. A reception followed at Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey.
The bride is the daughter of Ron Schlief of Yakima, WA and Paulette Fahnestock of Wapato, WA.
The groom is the son of James Hyland and Cheryl Bradt-Hyland of Scotia.
Matron of honor was Tracy Feist. Flowergirl was Gabrielle Lenberg. Best man was Ryan Hyland. Junior groomsman was Nicolas Feist. Ringbearer was Zachary Feist.
The bride is a data analyst at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. Her husband is general sales manager for Clear Channel Radio in St. Louis.
They reside in Fenton, MO.

Charles and Marjorie Assini 60th Anniversary

Charles and Marjorie (Pryor) Assini of Niskayuna recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a party at the Mohawk Golf Club. They were married January 16, 1949 at St. Patrick’s Church, Watervliet.
Marjorie is a homemaker. She enjoys writing, volunteering, golf and travel.
Her husband retired as president of Schenectady Insuring Agency, with 49 years of service. He enjoys golf, gardening, travel, WWII books and community service.
Their children are Honorable JoAnne Assini and husband, Kenneth Bulko of Niskayuna, and son, Charles Assini, Jr., Esq. and wife, Jennifer of Niskayuna. They have two grandsons, Ritchie Assini and Sam Assini of Niskyauna.

Pat and Mary Matarazzo 60th Anniversary
Anniversary: Matarazzo

Pat and Mary Matarazzo of Ballston Lake, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner party with family at Riccitello’s Restaurant. The party was given by their children, Patty and Keith Hamilton, and Lauren and Paul Matarazzo.
The couple were married December 6, 1948. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
