Engagement: af Petersens and Ginsburg

Nancy and Richard Ginsburg of Niskayuna are happy to announce the engagement of their son Dan Ginsburg, to Sofia af Petersens, daughter of Eva and Jan af Petersens of Miami, Florida.
Dan is a graduate of Niskayuna High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Bentley College. He is currently employed by Still River Systems in Littleton, MA, a company developing a new proton beam radiotherapy device for medical use.
Sofia graduated from Boston University and received her master’s degree in speech and language pathology from Emerson College. She is employed as a speech therapist at Riverside Community Cares in Needham, MA and consults at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough, MA.
A June 2010 wedding is planned on Cape Cod.

Engagement: Jendzeizyk and Clute

Paul and Regina Jendzeizyk of Rotterdam are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Tiffany Marie Jendzeizyk, to Patrick Daniel Clute, son of William and Jacqueline Clute of Schenectady. The future bride is a graduate of Schalmont High School class of 2000, a 2004 cum laude graduate of Russell Sage College and a 2006 graduate of Sage Graduate School. She is a Universal Pre-K teacher at Schenectady Head Start.
Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of Schenectady High School. He is a communications assistant at Time Warner Cable.
An August 1, 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Beach and DiCocco

Dave and Alma DiCocco of Rotterdam are proud to announce the engagement of their son David Jr., to Chelsea Beach, daughter of Deanna Bullock of Corinth, MS and granddaughter of Marge and Larry Preston. David is the grandson of the late Sante and Florence Fretto and the late Joseph and Viola DiCocco.
The couple are both graduates of Mohonasen High School. Chelsea is a manager at Wendy’s. David is employed by Mohonasen Central Schools.
An August 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Yozawitz and Ostrov

Nancy Ostrov of Clifton Park and Dr. Arthur and Loretta Ostrov of Saratoga Springs announce the engagement of their son, Douglas Ostrov to Dr. Elissa Yozawitz, daughter of Dr. Allan and Arlene Yozawitz of Fayetteville.
Douglas is the grandson of Renee Berkowitz and the late Senator Albert Berkowitz and late Harold and Etta Ostrov.
Elissa is the granddaughter of Arthur and Frances Greenfield, and the late Louis and Sylvia Yozawitz.
Doug is a graduate of Shenendehowa HS and a Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Tufts University. He received his MA from Johns Hopkins. He is an economic development consultant.
Elissa is a graduate of Jamesville-DeWitt High School and Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Rochester. She received her M.D. from Upstate Medical University. She is a pediatric neurology fellow at Montefiore Medical Center.
A May 2010 wedding is planned in Syracuse.

Engagement: Boehm and DeNovio

William and Connie DeNovio II of Rotterdam, announce the engagement of their son William DeNovio III, to Meghan Boehm, daughter of Harlan and Dawn Boehm of Minot, North Dakota.
The future bride is a graduate of Minot High School. She is a surgical assistant at The Face and Jaw Surgical Center.
Her fiance is a graduate of Schalmont High School and attended SCCC. He trained and graduated from Lackland AFB, TX. He served in Germany and Iraq and is currently in the USAF stationed at Minot AFB, ND.
An August 2009 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Tamer and Shepard

Plans for a September 2009 wedding on the beach at the Outer Banks, NC have been made by Sara Marie Tamer and Ronald Joseph Shepard.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Susan (Mills) Tamer of Duanesburg, NY. Her fiance is the son of Ronald and Laura (Messerle) Shephard of Esperance, NY.
The future bride, a graduate of Duanesburg Central High School and currently a student at the University at Albany, is a full-time infant teacher at Pal’s Early Childhood Care & Learning Center in Clifton Park, NY.
The future groom, also a graduate of Duanesburg Central High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, is a 1st lieutenant in the U. S. Army and is currently attending flight school at Fort Rucker, AL.

James and Anna Famiano 60th Anniversary

James and Anna (Bianchi) Famiano of Schenectady recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows at Immaculate Conception Church. A brunch followed at Glenn Sanders, given by their family.
The couple were married June 12, 1949 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Amsterdam.
Anna enjoys cooking, playing cards and family.
Her husband served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific, Okinawa and Saipan. He enjoys his garden and playing cards.
Their children are Barbara Colon, Judy (Nick) Messare, Linda (Rit) DiCaprio, the late Susan Piechnik and Donna (Gary) Lessard. They have 12 grandchildren and 7 great-granchildren.
