Nydegger-Enides
Engagement: Nydegger and Enides

Rudy and Karen Nydegger of Scotia and Jola Cope and Norma Ball of Sanford, FL announce the engagement of their daughter, Colby Cope Nydegger to , son of Fred and Sandra Enides of Altamont. Shawn is also the grandson of Florence Enides.
The future bride is a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and attended the College of Saint Rose. She is a writer/editor and jewelry maker.
Her fiance is a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and the University at Albany. He works in security design and consulting.
A May 2008 wedding is planned.


D’Annunzio-Viagrande
Engagement: D’Annunzio and Viagrande

Paul and Debbie D’Annunzio of Niskayuna announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren D’Annunzio to Christopher Viagrande, son of Dr. Richard and Cathy Viagrande of Southington, CT.
The future bride is a graduate of Fairfield University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse.
Her fiance is also a graduate of Fairfield University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in nursing. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner from Sage Graduate School.
The couple met at Fairfield University and became engaged on Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska, while on a helicopter ride.
A July 2009 wedding is planned.


Rimany-Swaney

Kenneth and Nancy Rimany of Schenectady, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen L. Rimany to Keith R. Swaney, son of Robert and Gerri Swaney of Upper St. Clair, PA.
The future bride received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and sociology from Gettysburg College and her master’s degree in education and higher Ed administration-student affairs from Penn State. She is an academic advisor at the University at Albany.
Her fiance is a graduate of Gettysburg College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. He received two master’s degrees in history and library and information science from the University of Maryland. He is an archivist for the New York State Archives.
A May 2008 wedding is planned.

Bernard and Jeanne Brown of Niskayuna and James and Sherry Ermie of Johnstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn Ermie, to John Michael Parillo, son of Joseph and Annette Parillo of Clifton Park.
The future bride is a graduate of the University at Albany, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is marketing director for Rose & Kiernan, Inc.
Her fiance is a graduate of Schenectady County Community College, where he received his associate degrees in restaurant management and culinary arts. He is assistant director of nutrition services at Albany Memorial Hospital.
A summer 2009 wedding is planned.

Wedding: Petronis and Pappas

Alexis L. Petronis and Christopher J. Pappas were married September 2, 2007 at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, Albany, NY. Father Patric Legato officiated. A reception followed at Saratoga Golf & Polo Club, Saratoga.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra L Petronis of Niskayuna and the late Larry Faulkner. The groom is the son of Ernest and Julianne Pappas of Gilroy, CA.
Maid of honor was Anastasia Dukes. Bridesmaids were Athena DiLorenzo, Elissa Soule, Caroline Lahond, Janice Treubig, Rocio Clausen and Gabriella Perdomo. Flowergirl was Emily Kanellos.
Best man was Christos Tsatsanis. Ushers were Kevin Smosky, Andrew Dempsey, Charles Nabhan, Michael Soumbenotis, Zeeshan Hussain, Neil Hourihan and Matthew Mannering.
The bride is a graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School and Boston University, where she received her bachelor’s degree and the University at Albany, where she received her master’s degree in public health. She is project manager at Emblem Health, New York, NY.
Her husband is a graduate of Woodside Priory, Portola Valley, CA and Boston College. He is managing director at an IT integration firm in New York.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey. They reside in Manhattan.
