Engagement: Schultz and Stygles

David and Deborah Schultz of Ballston Lake, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah E. Schultz to Jeremy B. Stygles, son of Matthew and Kathleen Stygles of Plattsburgh. Sarah is also the granddaughter of Madeline Trull of Glenville. Sarah is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and SUNY Plattsburgh. She is employed as a staff educator at the Advocacy and Resource Center in Plattsburgh.
Jeremy is a graduate of Peru Central High School and Clinton Community College. He also served in the US Navy from 1998 to 2004 as a Sonar Technician. He is a full time student at SUNY Plattsburgh.
A July 2008 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Bradley and Owen

Paula J. Carpenter of Scotia announces the engagement of her daughter, Michelle Anne Bradley to Frank Joseph Owen, son of Gary Owen of Ilion, NY. Michelle is also the daughter of James Bradley and step-daughter of Tanya Bradley of Scotia.
The future bride graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School and received an associate’s degree from Herkimer County Community College and Sage College of Albany, with a bachelor’s degree in business and communication. She is a teacher assistant at Maple Leaf Day Care, Burnt Hills.
Her fiance is a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School and attended Herkimer County Community College. He is employed by LVI Services, Contracting Co., in Colonie, NY.
A May 2008 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Mulholland and Kaczmarek

Amanda Marie Mulholland and Anthony T. Kaczmarek have announced their engagement. Amanda is the daughter of Trish and Rick Margas of Schenectady and John and Mary Mulholland of Weathersfield, CT. Anthony is the son of Brent and Danise Stephens of Schenectady, Greg and Lisa Kaczmarek of Schenectady and Anthony Tauro of Syracuse.
The future bride is a graduate of Schenectady High School and graduated with an associate’s degree in business from Schenectady County Community College and a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from SUNY Oneonta. She is a senior visual merchandiser for Garage Inc.
Her fiance is a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School and attended SUNY Albany and Siena College. He is a licensed salesperson for Realty USA and self-employed contractor and owner of Kaczmarek Construction.
The couple are childhood sweethearts and plan to marry in 2010 at a tropical destination.

Engagement: Knapp and Belawske

Glori M. Civitello of Delanson and Carl F. Belawske Sr. of Troy, PA announce the engagement of their son, John P. Belawske to Renee Knapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Knapp of Gillett, PA.
The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Troy High School, PA. She is a nurse’s aide at Bradford County Manor, West Burlington, PA.
Her fiance is a graduate of Schoharie Central School and Schoharie Valley VO-TECH Center (1992), with a carpentry construction degree. He is employed at Barefoot Flooring in Troy, PA.
An August 2008 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Karian and Laiacona

Joseph and Lillian Karian of Schenectady announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Karian to Brian Laiacona, son of Thomas and Patricia Laiacona of Farmingville, NY.
The future bride is a graduate of Villanova University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She received her master’s degree in information science from Pennsylvania State University. She is a senior statistical programmer at Merck & Co., North Wales, PA.
Her fiance is a graduate of SUNY at Oswego, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and Temple University, where he received his master’s degree in sports administration. He is a business education teacher at Eastern Lebanon County High School, PA.
A July 2008 wedding is planned in Lansdale, PA.

Engagement: Hojohn and Hart

Rev. Robert and Sally Hart of Rotterdam announce the engagement of their son, Andrew Hart to Ashley Hojohn, daughter of Colleen Bonfardice and step-daughter of Ron Bonfardice of Fultonville, NY.
The future bride is a graduate of Schenectady Christian School, Roberts Wesleyan College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology, and Kings College, where she received her degree as a physician assistant. She is employed as a physician assistant.
Her fiance is a graduate of Baptist Bible College, where he received his degree in youth ministry. He is youth pastor at Sonrise Bible Church, Rotterdam.
A summer 2008 wedding is planned.

Stephanie Jane Cioppa and Dustin Robert Gardinier were married July 6, 2007 at St. Mary’s Church, Ballston Spa, NY. Father Thomas Kelly officiated. A reception followed at the Gideon Putnam Hotel, Saratoga Springs, NY.
The bride is the daughter of Lou and Jane Venditti of Porter Corners and Salvatore and Teresa Cioppa of Troy, NY. The groom is the son of James and Stephanie Gardinier of Niverville, NY.
Maid of honor was Jessica Evans. Bridesmaids were Constance Hogan and Dena Saburro.
Best man was Ryan Gardinier, the groom’s brother. Ushers were Shawn Diaz and Aaron Lensink.
The bride is a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and the College of Saint Rose, where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and her master’s degree in literacy. She is an elementary teacher in the East Greenbush School District.
Her husband is a graduate of Ichabod Crane High School and the University at Albany. He is employed by the New York State Police.
The couple took a wedding trip to Aruba. They now reside in East Greenbush.
