Courtney Hughes and Daniel Marsello have announced their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Lynette and Larry Hughes of Brunswick. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo and is a claims supervisor at MVP Healthcare.
Her fiance is the son of Pamela and Joseph Marsello of Rotterdam. He is a graduate of Columbia-Greene Community College. He is a route salesman for LePage Bakeries.
They will marry at Birch Hill, Schodack later this month.


Tubelli-Rice
Engagement: Tubelli and Rice

Tubelli of Rotterdam, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda M. Tubelli to Joshua A. Rice, son of Ms. Cheryl Rice of Schenectady and Mr. Robert Rice and Diane Dingman-Rice of Altamont, New York.
The future bride is a graduate of Schalmont High School and Russell Sage College with a bachelor’s degree in health science. She is currently pursuing her MS in health services administration, with an anticipated December 2008 graduation. She is employed by Ellis Hospital.
Her fiance is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and is currently pursuing his A.S. business degree at Schenectady County Community College. He is employed at the Golub Distribution Center.
An October 2008 wedding is planned and will take place on the couple’s 5th anniversary together.

Estelle and Dennis B. Sullivan of Voorheesville announce the engagement of their son, Gregory B. Sullivan to Victoria A. Koprucki, daughter of Victoria L. and Richard H. Koprucki of Williamsville, NY.
The future bride is a graduate of the University of Buffalo, with a degree in electrical engineering. She is an electrical engineer with Granite Services in Albany, NY.
Her fiance is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in civil and environmental engineering. He is an engineer with Momentive Performance Materials in Waterford, NY.
A fall 2008 wedding is planned.

Dr. and Mrs. Victor Klimash of Niskayuna and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Mathews of Metairie, LA announce the engagement of their their children, Maria Klimash and Brad Mathews. Maria is the granddaughter of Tom and Marie Walachy of Kenner, LA. Brad is the grandson of Catherine Nunmaker of Metairie, LA and Minnie Mathews of Senatobia, MS.
The future bride is a graduate of Niskayuna High School and received her bachelor and master degrees from Louisiana State University.
Her fiance is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He received his bachelor’s degree in management from Louisiana State University. He is employed by Smith Barney Financial Services.
A June wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Schampier of Albany and Col. and Mrs. Thomas J. Eslick (Ret) of Surf City, NC announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ann Eslick to Aaron Thorne Denny, son of Rhonda Denny of Bailey, NC. Kelly is the granddaughter of Norbert C. Mandeville of South Hadley, MA., the late Bernice Mandeville and the late Orville and Mary Eslick.
The future bride attended Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Iona College. She continued her education and received a dual master’s degree in education from Sage Graduate School. She is currently a third-grade teacher in Wake County, NC.
Her fiance attended Southern Nash Senior High School and received his associate degree from ECPI College of Technology, Raleigh, NC. He is a network administrator for Mulkey Engineers and Consultants in Cary, NC.
A November 2008 wedding is planned.


SemErad-Plantz

Jaime Semerad and Joseph Plantz, both of Scotia, have announced their engagement.
Jaime is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Marist College. She received her master’s degree in education from St. Joseph’s College. She is an elementary teacher in the Shenendehowa School District.
Her fiance is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany. He received his master’s degree in school counseling from Sage Graduate School. He is a guidance counselor in the Averill Park School District.
An August 2008 wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gerbino of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica Rose Gerbino to Daniel Scott Capogna, son of Lisa Beth Capogna of Rotterdam and stepson of Tom Capogna of Schenectady.
The future bride and groom are both graduates of Scotia-Glenville High School, The College of Saint Rose, both with a B.A.’s in communications. Monica is assistant media planner for MPG Arnold Advertising in Boston. Her fiance is assistant director of admissions at Marian Court College in Swampscott, MA.
A November 2008 wedding is planned.

Cynthia and Darryl Blair of Schenectady announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Briana Blair to Elroy Andre Tatem, son of the late Elroy and late Jennifer Tatem.
The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Regis College with degrees in Spanish and economics. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Union Graduate College and will graduate in June. She is director of Kenney Community Center at Union College.
Her fiance is an 2006 graduate of Union College with a degree in electrical engineering. He is a full-time PhD candidate at the University at Albany College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. He is a NYC (Bronx) native and came to Schenectady for college.
A June 2008 wedding is planned.


McKenna-Halloran

Terrance and Sherry Mc-Kenna of Burnt Hills announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara McKenna to Nathanial Halloran, son of Kevin and Eve Halloran of Melrose, NY.
The future bride is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz and is currently studying for her MFA at Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester.
Her fiance is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam and received his master’s degree in TSOL from Portland State, OR.
An August 2008 wedding is planned in Rangeley, ME.


Thomas and Margaret Cwiakala 50th Anniversary

Thomas T. and Margaret A. Cwiakala of Galway are celebrating 50 years of marriage today, June 14, 2008.
Their wedding was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Scotia, NY, officiated by Father O’Connor.
Thomas, a native of Galway, retired from Lee Dying Co. as an engineer.
Margaret, formerly of Glen-ville, NY is a homemaker. They have four children and five grandchildren.
They will be celebrating their anniversary with family in Virginia.

Anniversary: Kilinski

Ernest and Karen Kilinski recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party with family and friends at Lillians Restaurant, Saratoga. The party was hosted by their daughters and their husbands, Laura and Rob Blunt and Lisa and John Fobare.
Mrs. Kilinski, formerly Karen Doak, graduated from Wilbur Lynch High School. She was a keypunch operator. She enjoys gardening, bird watching and her 3 grandchildren.
Her husband is a graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School and Oswego State College. He served in the army and is a retired teacher in the Shenendehowa District. He enjoys bowling, gardening and his 3 grandchildren.

Jocelyn Jessica Freedman and Lawrence Stephen Gold have announced their engagement. Jocelyn is the daughter of the late Roberta Freedman. Lawrence is the son of Bryna and Michael Gold of Montreal.
The future bride is a graduate of Schenectady County Community College and the University at Albany. She works for Aetna Insurance Co.
Her fiance is a graduate of Dawson College and Concordia University. He is an accountant.
