Kenneth and Marcia Jochim of Boulder, CO., announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Jochim to John Boote, son of Carey and Susan Boote of Holland, MI. Christine is the granddaughter of Edwin and Helen Martin of Rotterdam Junction, NY. John is the grandson of Joan Ponstein and Clarence and Carol Boote.
The future bride is a graduate of Boulder High School and Hamilton College. She is currently pursuing her juris doctor at the University of Maryland School of Law and pursuing her master’s degree in public health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In the fall she will begin work in the Office of the General Counsel at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Her fiance is a graduate of Holland High School and Hope College. He is a special assistant to the Attorney General, United States Dept. of Justice, Washington D.C. In John’s capacity as special assistant to the attorney general, he has had the opportunity to meet foreign dignitaries and travel extensively, including trips to El Salvador and Mexico City. In the fall he plans to begin work on a master’s degree in the area of international studies in the Washington, D.C. region.

Jennifer Rockwell and Kason O’Neil have announced their engagement. Jennifer is the daughter of Garrett and Bev Rockwell of Scotia. Kason is the son of Michael and Joy O’Neil of Glenville.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and SUNY Cortland 2006. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in sports management through the United States Sports Academy. She is a physical education teacher at Johnstown High School and the varsity girls soccer coach and eighth grade basketball coach.
Her fiance is a 2000 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, 2004 graduate of SUNY Cortland and spent one semester at the University of Ballarat, Australia. He is currently pursuing his masters degree in sports management at the United States Sports Academy. He is a physical education teacher at Hudson Falls High School and head indoor and outdoor coach of boys and girls track & field. He also coaches football at Spa Catholic High School.
An October 2008 wedding is planned at Mohawk Golf Club.
Janet Wilson of Rotterdam, NY and William Newell of Torrington, CT announce the engagement of their son, Joshua Newell to Meghan Aldershoff, the daughter of David Aldershoff and his late wife, Kathleen of Schenectady, NY.
Joshua and Meghan are both graduates of Mohonasen High School.
Joshua is attending Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY and will be graduating in May. He has accepted a position with IBM in SanJoe, CA., as a software engineer.
Meghan is attending Elmira College in Elmira, NY and will be graduating in June and going on to graduate school.

Anne is the granddaughter of Mrs. Clarence Barton Rosser Jr., of Richmond, VA, and the late Clarence Barton Rosser, Jr. and Mrs. Clyde Preston Dalrymple of Paducah, KY and Lakewood, CO and the late Clyde Preston Dalrymple. Robert is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Constantino, the late Mr. Donald W. Thompson, the late Mrs. Eva R. Thompson and Mrs. Phyllis P. Thompson of Del Ray Beach, Florida.
The future bride is a graduate of Elon University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a public school teacher in Baltimore County, MD.
Her fiance graduated from Clarkson University, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; graduated from Johns Hopkins University, with a master of engineering degree and is a candidate for his PhD in mechanical engineering in the spring of 2008.

The future bride is a graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School and received her associate degree in nursing from Maria College. She is a nurse at GHI in Albany.
Her fiance is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and received his associates degree in culinary arts from Paul Smith’s College. He is employed at SUNY Albany (Chartwells) as a catering chef.

The bride is a graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, LeMoyne College and RPI. She is an associate analyst at New York Independent System Operator, East Greenbush.
Her husband is a graduate of Watervliet High School and the College of Saint Rose. He is a program specialist at Program Risk Management, Inc, Colonie.
The couple took a wedding trip to Ireland. They reside in Watervliet.
Joseph and Marguerite (Peggy) Petrosky of Saratoga Spri-ngs celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 9, 2007.
A party for family and friends, hosted by their children, Carol Costen of Bow, N.H. and Joseph Petrosky of Clifton Park, was held at Spargo’s restaurant located at the Saratoga National Golf Course.
Peggy wore a dress suit designed and created by Lisa Stegeland of Gloversville. The material for the dress came from Peggy’s original wedding dress made of chantilly lace and satin.
Joe and Peg exemplify the true meaning of a marriage. Through their years together they have grown and learned together. They are true soulmates and best friends. They can often be found working side by side in their perennial gardens. Seldom do you see one without the other. Joe and Peg were married on December 8, 1957 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, formally located on Henry Street in Saratoga.
A surprise gift of a cruise to Mexico and Belize was given to them by their children.
